Christoph Reschke becomes Managing Director at GARBE Reside

Hamburg, February 5, 2025 – Christoph Reschke will become the new Managing Director of GARBE Reside on March 1, 2025. In this role, he will be responsible for the project development strategy in the areas of residential, mixed use and district development. GARBE Reside brings together the companies GARBE Immobilien-Projekte, GARBE Commercial Living, Fontenay Management and the pan-European residential real estate business.

With Christoph Reschke, GARBE has gained one of the leading project developers on the German market, who will strengthen the company with his many years of experience and comprehensive expertise. In close cooperation with the other Reside managing directors Dirk Heidkämper (Finance and Commercial Management), Tobias Hertwig (Technology and Project Management) and Michiel Dubois (Funds & International), he will be the spokesman for the management of GARBE Reside and will play a key role in driving forward business development and the implementation of the “Beds Strategy”, which, alongside the “Sheds” & “Infrastructure” business areas, characterizes GARBE’s 360° approach.

“We are very pleased to have Christoph Reschke on board and are convinced that he will make a decisive contribution to keeping our goals in focus,” says Christopher Garbe, managing partner of GARBE.

With Christoph Reschke, GARBE Reside continues to focus on sustainable growth and innovative project developments in order to create future-proof and livable neighborhoods. GARBE Reside will further strengthen its activities in traditional residential construction as well as in district development and in commercial housing forms such as hotels, student housing, corporate & senior living and expand this area into a fully integrated, Europe-wide platform.

Both projects are to be implemented entirely in-house and in service development. GARBE Reside will contribute its expertise in sustainable construction with wood.

“We are delighted to welcome Christoph Reschke, a first-class management colleague in terms of both personality and expertise, to GARBE so that we can continue the successful work of the last few years together,” says Tobias Hertwig.

Most recently, Christoph Reschke was co-managing director for more than two decades and was largely responsible for the expansion of the German branch of the global real estate group Hines. There he led the successful development of numerous major projects and built up the transactions and asset management division. Before that, he worked for DIFA AG, which now operates as Union Investment.

“I am looking forward to working with the team and the new challenge. In recent years, GARBE has impressively demonstrated that it can successfully implement individual strategies even under difficult conditions. I am all the more pleased to now be part of this dynamic company at GARBE Reside,” comments Christoph Reschke.
